At the beginning of September we received a phone call from BBC Radio 4 informing us that we had been nominated for the BBC Farmer of the Year 2009, part of the the Food and Farming Awards. We were then visited by Alex James (member of the band Blur) and Chris Haskins (Life Peer and adviser to the Prime Minister) to record a radio show in which Rosemary, Geoffrey and I were all interviewed. The radio show can be listened to again by clicking here. We will hear the result when we head down to London on 25th November for the awards so fingers crossed!
We absolutely can not believe that we have got this far in such a prestigious competition after less than a year of trading and we would like to thank all of our our team and of course our loyal customers for being so supportive and helping us along the way.
Thankyou so much again
